The former Lec site forms an important gateway into Bognor Regis and is one of the most prominent sites seen by visitors as they enter the town from both the road and the railway. It is important therefore that any redevelopment provides an attractive entrance into the town and is a clear sign of the ongoing renaissance of Bognor Regis.
The design and location of the proposed new supermarket recognises the gateway location of the site and the building is designed to be a landmark feature facing visitors entering the town.
