Retained Land
SDLL have retained about 2.5 acres of land for redevelopment.
A range of suitable uses were identified in the Development Brief including Class B1 (office, light industrial and research & development) and A1 (bulky goods retail e.g. garden centre or timber merchant). Secondary land uses include B8 (storage & distribution), C1 (hotels) and Sui Generis (other uses).
The existing Widdowson Building is fully tenanted and occupied by Polestar Cooling and SDLL’s offices. The remaining land of about 1.5 acres has been cleaned up and remediated to provide a future development site.
SDLL continues to explore various options for the site in the current challenging economic conditions.
